Unit 3 Devotional Leviticus

Q Can you think of a small thing, perhaps one that seemed insignificant at the time, that God called you to do, and that made a big difference in your relationship with him? How did it contribute to your walk? Can you relate to the ancient Israelites at Mt. Sinai, who had to learn that every little thing plays into the bigger picture of their relationship with God? And can you see how your faithfulness in the details helped to shape the overall direction of your walk with him?

I think that fasting, offering and sacrificing were extremely common during the time of The Old Testament. There were several aspects in which Yahweh or God the Father asked many of His chosen Israelites to offer sacrifices to Him in His name so that the blessings of God the Father could be bestowed upon Hos chosen people of Israel. I think that God the Father wanted to make His chosen people understand that there were outward signs which were required to be made in order to make God the Father understand that His chosen people loved Him and wanted to offer sacrifices for Him to please Him and obey His commands. The offering and sacrificing of animal or something to God implied that the chosen people of God showed obedience to God.
